Prof. Dr. Munaza Javed

She is an esteemed Professor of Medicine at Azra Naheed Medical College, Lahore, affiliated with Superior University Lahore. Her academic journey began with the completion of MBBS from Rawalpindi Medical College, University of Health Sciences Lahore, in 2005. Subsequently, she achieved Fellowship (FCPS) in Internal Medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, in 2012. With a dedication to patient care and a passion for medicine, Prof. Dr. Munaza Javed pos- sesses over 17 years of invaluable clinical experience. Her commitment to excellence in medical education is evident as she holds Certifications in Health Professional Education and Health Research. As a supportive and patient teacher, she has effec-tively engaged both undergraduate and postgraduate students in learning through various activities, fostering self-di- rected learning and critical thinking. Dr. Javed’s keen interest in research has led to the publication of multiple original research articles in renowned national journals recognized by PMDC/ HEC. Her contributions to the medical field through research and teaching make her a respected and influential figure in the medical communi- ty at Azra Naheed Medical College, Lahore.

Dr. Khalid Mahmood

Is currently serving as an Associate Professor at Azra Naheed Medical College Lahore since December 2019. His illustrious medical journey began with the completion of MBBS from King Edward Medical College in 1984. Building on his foundation, he pursued and successfully achieved FCPS in Medicine in 2000. Following his FCPS, Dr. Mahmood gained valuable experience as a Senior Registrar at Mayo Hospital. His thirst for knowledge and experience led him to serve as a medical specialist in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2001 to 2006. In September 2006, he joined Service Institute of Medical Sciences, where he held positions as a Senior Registrar and Assistant Professor until June 2010. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Consultant Physician and Head of the Medical Department at Rafha Central Hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he served with distinctio from September 2010 to June 2019. Dr. Khalid Mahmood’s extensive experience and dedication to the medical field make him a valuable asset to Azra Naheed Medical College. His interna-tional experience further en- riches his contributions to medical education and patient care, showcasing his commitment to the advancement of healthcare.

Dr. Aniqa Anser

Associate Professor of Medicine

Is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Azra Naheed Medical College, Superior University. Graduating in 2008 from Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Punjab University, she went on to achieve her fellowship in Medicine from the College of Physi- cians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2016. Her career path led her to work as a Senior Registrar at Jinnah Hospital and later at the University of Lahore before joining Azra Naheed Medical College in 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Driven by a passion for research, her work has been published in various HEC recognized journals. As an exceptional teacher, she imparts clinical knowledge and skills using modern techniques, showcasing her competence as a physician and dy- namic personality. Dr. Anser’s immacu- late career and invaluable contributions make her an esteemed member of the faculty at Azra Naheed Medical College faculty at Azra Naheed Medical College.

Prof. Dr. Nasir Iqbal

He is an esteemed Professor of Cardiology at Azra Naheed Medical College. His academic journey began with MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Punjab Lahore in 2003. Driven by his passion for cardiology, he pursued and successfully completed his Fellow-ship in Cardiology from the College of Physician & Surgeons Pakistan in 2013, and later obtained a Diploma in Cardiology from the University of Health and Sciences Lahore in 2017. With a wealth of clinical experience spanning over 19 years, Dr. Iqbal is known for his dedication and hard work in the field. His special interests lie in both clinical and interventional cardiology. As a compassionate and committed teacher, he has more than 10 years of experience in educating undergraduate and postgraduate students through diverse learning activities, fostering self-directed learning. With memberships in renowned local and inter-na- tional cardiac societies, Dr. Nasir Iqbal also actively engages in research, having multiple original research articles published in prestigious journals recognized by PMDC/HEC. His expertise and contributions to car- diology and medical education make him a valuable asset to Azra Naheed Medical College.

Prof. Dr. Osama Habib

Dr. Osama Habib is currently working as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral sciences at Azra Naheed Medical College, Lahore/ Superior University. He graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore in May 1999. He completed his postgraduate training from the United Kingdom and trained at St. Mary’s and Royal Free psychiatric training schemes in London. He was elected as a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCP sych) in 2009. His medical teaching career started in 2011. He has worked since then as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore and Azra Naheed Medical College, Lahore. He was appointed as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in December 2020. Dr. Osama Habib has a special interest in Psychotherapy and has received dedicated training in Psychoanalytic and Cognitive Behavior therapy. He has published more than a dozen research papers in nationally accredited journals. He was declared the best poet of Allama Iqbal Medical College in 1998. Teaching is something very close to his heart and he always strives to guide his students by providing one to one and group counseling sessions.

Dr. Sehrish Sarwar is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology at Azra Naheed Medical College, Superior University, Lahore. Graduating in 2012 from Dow University of Health Sciences, she pursued further specialization as a fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, completing FCPS in Gastroenterology in 2020. Her training at a renowned GI unit in Lahore led her to a consultant post at CMA Hospital, where she contributed to the development of the endoscopy and Hepatology department. Her dedication and expertise in the field earned her membership in the prestigious American College of Gastroenterology. As a member of the Research Committee at the World Gastroenterology Organization, she actively participates in various clinical local and international research projects. Dr. Sarwar’s special interest lies in Functional GI disorders and Obesity medicine. She possesses exceptional skills in basic and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Her knowledge, inspiration, and enthusiasm make her an exceptional teacher for medical students and a prominent member of the ANMDC faculty. Dr. Hafiz Hamad Ashraf is a distinguished medical professional with a wealth of accomplishments in the field of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. As the Head of Department at Azra Naheed Medical College, Su- perior University, Lahore, he brings extensive expertise as a Gastroenterologist, Transplant Hepatologist, and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist. Dr. Ashraf’s academic journey includes B.Sc. and MBBS degrees from KEMU Lahore. He further pursued postgraduate training from renowned institutions in the UK, spe- cializing in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, General and Transplant Hepatology, and was awarded the prestigious CCT in these subspecialties by GMC-UK. His rich experience encompasses work at distinguished liver transplant centers in the UK, such as King’s College Hospital London, Royal Free Hospital London, Cambridge University Hospital Cambridge, and Southwest Liver Unit Plymouth. Certified by JAG as a GI endoscopist, Dr. Hamad Ashraf skillfully performs various therapeutic procedures, notably ERCP & EUS. He has co-authored publications in high-impact medical journals and contributed to textbooks. His passion for teaching and training is evident, and he carries a keen interest in Healthcare Leadership. Despite maintaining his clinical and endoscopic practice in the UK, he dedicates himself to leading the development of a state-of-the-art facility, offering world-class care to GI & Liver patients while providing excellent training in all aspects of gastroenterology and endoscopy.
