She is working as Head of Department and Associate Professor of Pathology at Azra Naheed Medical College Lahore. She graduated from Baqai Medical University Karachi in 2006. After completing her House job she had started post-graduation at Sheikh Zayed Federal Postgraduate Medical institute Lahore. She completed her specialization in Hematology and joined Azra Naheed Medical College as a Senior Demonstrator in 2011, With her hard work and dedication she was promoted as Assistant professor in March 2013. She has been involved in teaching to MBBS, Pharm-D, DPT & Allied Health Sciences here and also working as Incharge Hospital Pathology Laboratory and Blood Bank. By putting her untiring efforts to make her department one of the best among all, she was promoted as Associate Professor of Pathology in 2018. She is a member of Pakistan Society of Hematology, A Member of Hospital transfusion committee, A Member of Infection Control Committee, A member of Hospital CQI Committee., A member of ANMDC Board of studies. Facilitated/ Attended more than 20 work-shops/ training courses and more than 15 conferences nationally & internationally. She has 15 + publications in national as well as international journals. She has also done her HealthCare Entrepreneurship certification with the Chairman Sb. and chosen as the best certified Coach. Moreover, she is also working as Certified Healthcare entrepreneurship trainer which is a part of MBBS final year students. internationally

After her house job, she embarked on her FCPS training in Hematology at CH and ICH Lahore, excelling as a resident and earning her FCPS degree in 2019. Joining ANMDC, Dr. Saima initially served as a Senior Demonstrator in the Department of Pathology, honing her teaching skills. Notably, during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, ANMDC stood at the forefront by pioneering online classes, providing proper training to the staff. Dr. Saher Iqbal

Dr. Saher Iqbal, an exceptional Assistant Professor specializing in Histopathology within the Pathology Department at ANMDC. Graduating from FJMC in 2007, she embarked on a promising career path after completing her house job. Driven by a passion for her field, she pursued her FCPS training in Histopathology at SKMC and later joined AIMC as a resident. Since being awarded her FCPS degree in 2018, Dr. Saher has been an integral part of ANMDC’s academic landscape, elevating her role from Senior Demonstrator to Assistant Professor. She not only excels in teaching MBBS students but also plays a vital role in Surgical & Cytopathology reporting. Her dedication extends beyond ANMDC, as she actively contributes to the education of Pharm D, DPT, and Allied Health Sciences students at Superior University. During the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, ANMDC emerged as a leader by swiftly introducing online classes and providing comprehensive staff training. Dr. Fariha Sehrish

Dr. Fariha Sehrish, an accomplished Pathologist, specializing in Hematology, started her journey in the medical field by graduating from Nishtar Medical College in 2010. Eager to pursue further expertise, she embarked on her FCPS training in Hematology as a resident at CH and ICH Lahore, culminating in the prestigious FCPS degree in 2019. With a dedication to pursue her profession, she joined Azra Naheed Medical College (ANMDC) as a Senior Demonstrator in the Department of Pa-thology. Dr. Sehrish’s perseverance during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic allowed ANMDC to stand at the forefront of edu-cation, introducing online classes much earlier than other institutions and ensuring the staff received proper training. Dr. Nida Javed

Dr. Nida Javed, a dedicated Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, holds an MPhil in Microbiology from UHS and has also achieved CHPE certification from UOL. With a solid academic background, she brings a wealth of experience to her role. Prior to joining our institute in the year 2023, Dr. Nida served as a Senior Demonstrator at Al Aleem Medical College, Gulab Devi Hospital, where she honed her skills and expertise for four years. Her commitment to innovation in Medical Education aligns perfectly with ANMDC’s vision, making her an invaluable asset to the team. Dr. Nida’s primary interests lie in infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance, where she continuously strives to contribute to advancements in these critical areas. Dr. Sara Masood Cheema

Dr. Sara Masood (MPhil, FCPS, PhD Scholar) is serving as Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Pathology. She is qualified in two fields of Pathology; Histopathology & Microbiology. Dr. Sara undertook MPhil Microbiology training in UHS and then trained for FCPS Histopathology at FMH and AIMC. She has been a part of our set up since 2018 when she joined as Senior Demonstrator. She further worked in a Diagnostic Pathology set up before re-joining ANMDC as Assistant Professor in 2021. She is committed to the innovations in Medical Education that ANMDC is initiating and is a strong advocate of the continuing progress and resolve for excellence on part of our institute. Her interests include Dermatopatholgy and Candidal biofilms.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Munir

Graduated from King Edward Medical college in 1977.. Started his career as demonstrator of pathology at Punjab medical college Faisalabad. He had been serving as Assistant Professor and Associate professor of pathology at Punjab Medical College Faisalabad and Post Graduate Medical Institute .His final assignment before retirement was as Dean Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and Chairman Department of Pathology King Edward Medical University. Professor Muhammad Munir holds postgraduate degree (M.Phil) in Medical Microbiology. He has an extensive experience of more than 40 years teaching and training the undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical Students. He is the author or co author of more than 35 original research papers. Professor Muhammad Munir possesses extensive computer skills especially the online teaching , training and evaluating software. Loves music and writing stories and Urdu poetry.
